Future of Travel and Tourism in India

The future of travel and tourism in India is very bright. Tourism revolution has yet to begin in India. Tourism in India has seen modest numbers. Interest in India is beginning to peak and infrastructures needs to catch up.

Travel and Tourism Industry has continued to grow healthy in the last few years. Thanks to many avenues (Medical Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Sports Tourism, Holistic Tourism, Rural Tourism, etc) opening up and the trade warming up, welcoming these changes.

The number of arrivals in 2006 rose substantially over the previous year, while departures record a phenomenal growth. This is because of India’s improved economy, stimulation of outbound as well as domestic travel, feasibility for low cost carriers to operate in the country as being one of the most attractive destinations in the world!
